IPRA celebrates a new President

The new IPRA President, Nataša Pavlović Bujas, was presented with the IPRA Chain of Office at a ceremony hosted by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, in Belgrade last week.

IPRA accord with Zimbabwe PR Institute

IPRA, the International Public Relations Association, has signed a partnership agreement with the Institute of Public Relations and Communication Zimbabwe (IPRC). Under the agreement, inter alia, the organisations will exchange information, share publications and help promote the ethical development of the PR profession with our codes and guidelines.

Matthew Cossel has been promoted to Permanent Representative to the UN from his position as a Youth Representative and both Alexa Moyer and Diya Narayan have been announced as the newest UN Youth Representatives, filling a role held by Cossel for five years.

IPRA launches AI and PR Guidelines

Consistent with its mission for intellectual leadership in global communication, IPRA has launched a set of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and PR  Guidelines. The guidelines starting point is to recall that AI content has the potential both to enhance public relations, and the potential for bias, misuse, deception, and harm.

Offering online CPD for PR professionals

IPRA has renewed its agreement with the Irish Academy of Public Relations to provide online communications training to its global membership. The Academy is a platform for PR practitioners, providing online courses in communications disciplines like writing feature articles, negotiating sponsorship, shooting smartphone video or training for radio.

IPRA strengthens ties at UN New York

IPRA’s representatives recently participated in briefings in New York. Jim McQueeny oversaw IPRA's co-sponsorship of the 75th anniversary of The Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations. The event UN-NGO Relations: enhancing multilateralism, protecting NGO access, civic space and democratic discourse was a celebration of work to improve NGO access to the UN. Also discussed by the NGOs present was what is working, what needs to be improved, and how participating NGOs can mutually cooperate.
