IPRA Philippines launches PR Matters compendium

The Philippines Chapter of the International Public Relations Association has just launched a book entitled PR Matters. The book is a compilation of 70 articles published in the PR Matters weekly column in the local business newspaper Business Mirror. The articles are written by 18 of the senior Philippines Chapter members.

Noel has been a long-standing member of IPRA and IPRA Philippines. Noel is also involved in the social programmes of Perceptions such as the Read to Lead reading advocacy programme in partnership with the Philippine Department of Education and the Biyahe Tayo! tourism campaign in partnership with the Philippine Department of Tourism.

IPRA has nominated Mina Nazari, a manager for public relations and communications at the Power Distribution Company of Tabriz, Iran for one of the 2023 PRO PR GLOBE awards. The PRO PR GLOBE awards are organised by Croatian PR agency, Apriori World. The awards recognise individuals whose work contributes to a better perception of PR by the public. IPRA’s 2023 representative to the PRO PR GLOBE awards is board member Jacqueline Purcell.

IPRA contributes to the UN’s sustainable development forum

IPRA’s submission on Climate Change Guidelines has been accepted for the United Nations high-level political forum on sustainable development, held under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council. IPRA proposed that the UN consider the IPRA Climate Change Guidelines in a modified form suitable for adoption by all communicators. For the full story and the modified guidelines see here.

Hello, dear PR enthusiasts from all over the world. This is my sixth message to you, and it is the halfway point of my term as IPRA President 2023. Let me recap briefly: I was invited to do several video and written messages for PR events in Azerbaijan, Iran, the Philippines, the USA and Zambia, and I did a podcast for Australia. It was a great honour and privilege to be present globally. Thank you very much for these invitations. The motto of my IPRA presidential year is “share & care”. In my messages at these events, I point out the importance of our role as communicators to do everything we can to address climate change – in our companies, for our clients and on a personal level. We need each and every one of us and our communities to do our very best to prevent climate change. We owe it to future generations.
