Who is the Manjgura agency – the host of this year's GWA jury?

The final judging of the 2024 IPRA Golden World Awards for Excellence in PR will be held in Croatia for the first time. This year from 3 – 5 July, Zagreb will be a hub for gathering senior public relations experts from all over the world. The 2024 jury comprises 48 judges.

IPRA creates new Alpe-Balkan-Adria Chapter

While IPRA is a global community of PR practitioners, there is also a need to network and meet locally. The Alpe-Balkan-Adria Chapter (ABA Chapter) brings together IPRA members from this region in South East Europe.

IPRA supports UN goals for multilingualism and ending child labour

This past week, IPRA’s New York-based UN representatives attended meetings with the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the Study Group on Language and the United Nations. The Study Group is an initiative under the United Nations Strategic Framework on Multilingualism which launched on 27 March 2024. IPRA reaffirmed its commitment to human rights, ethical communication and the UN’s sustainable development goals.

IPRA‘s president Nataša Pavlović Bujas opened the 13th PROACTIVE regional conference, held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina from 23 – 24 May 2024. The conference moto was Acta, non verba! Actions not words is a confirmation that the PR industry is both results driven but also that PR practitioners are starting to redefine terms such as relations, trust and responsibility.

Lifetime achievement award for IPRA’s Dejan Verčič

Dr. Dejan Verčič is the first recipient of a new Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Public Relations Society of Slovenia (PRSS). Dr. Verčič, a member of the International Public Relations Association, is currently co-chairing an IPRA joint committee to review and expand the IPRA Guidelines for the usage of artificial intelligence in communications.
