The IPRA Golden World Awards for Excellence (GWA): the world’s most prestigious PR awards scheme, announces today a record 98 winners for 2025. A number of entries tackled on-point issues such as climate change, danger in social media and greenovation.
The GWA jury of experts met in person in the stunning and tranquil surroundings of Lake Bled, Slovenia. The judging took place on the second day of the 32nd Bledcom, an international symposium on PR research. At an inspiring session, the entries were seen by teams of senior PR practitioners. The jury comprised judges from all over the world including Bulgaria, Brazil, Croatia, Egypt, Germany, Australia, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, The Philippines, Turkey, UK and the USA.
“This year we had such exceptionally strong entries we made a number of joint awards,” explains Philip Sheppard, IPRA’s Secretary General. "We learnt of stories about Hungary’s iconic buildings, Californian prunes, and a youth eco-system in Romania.”
The prestigious Grand Prix was also chosen but the judges have been sworn to secrecy. Along with the Global Contribution Award for PR with an objective of meeting one of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, the Grand Prix will be announced at the GWA Gala on 3 October in Accra, Ghana. Tickets are available here.
