Message from the IPRA President: Celebrating Our Shared Journey   December 2025

Dear colleagues,

As we approach 31 December 2025, the conclusion of my two-year mandate as President of the International Public Relations Association, I wish to extend my deepest gratitude to each of you. Your trust, collaboration, and unwavering dedication to our profession have made this period both meaningful and transformational, for me personally and for IPRA as a global community.

Together we have significantly expanded IPRA’s reach and strengthened our mission to advance ethical, responsible, and impactful communication worldwide. Among our most notable accomplishments is the establishment of new Chapters that reflect the diversity and forward-thinking spirit of our membership: the AI Chapter, the Academic Chapter, and the regional ABA (Alpe-Balkan-Adria) Chapter. These Chapters, together with our Climate Chapter and other Regional Chapters now stand as vibrant hubs of innovation, knowledge, and cross-border collaboration.

I am especially proud of the way we have strengthened cooperation between scholars and practitioners, building a bridge that has resulted in powerful global insights. One of the key outcomes of this unified effort was the launch of a global research initiative, positioning IPRA as a leading contributor to understanding the evolving role of communication in today’s complex world. The result of this initiative was the publication of our Gold Paper No.19 “Ethical standards and guidelines for the use of Artificial Intelligence in public relations”. The paper has sparked important worldwide dialogue and reaffirmed IPRA’s long-standing leadership in safeguarding truth, trust, and transparency: values essential in the era of fast-developing technologies.

We have also elevated the visibility and prestige of the IPRA Golden World Awards (GWA), with ceremonies hosted in beautiful capitals; the 2024 Gala in Belgrade, Serbia and the 2025 Gala in Accra, Ghana. The GWA continue to celebrate excellence, innovation with campaigns that demonstrate the true power of communication to improve lives, strengthen communities, and inspire change.

Our international partnerships have grown substantially. Through joint initiatives with associations across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas, IPRA has encouraged intercultural dialogue, highlighted local expertise on global stages, and enabled meaningful professional exchange.

As my presidency draws to a close, I am filled with gratitude for the achievements we share and optimism for what lies ahead. With Esther Cobbah as a IPRA President in 2026, I am confident that IPRA will continue to grow in purpose, influence, and global relevance.

Thank you for your trust, your ideas, and your passion. It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as your President. Together, we have strengthened IPRA’s legacy and together, we will continue shaping the future of ethical global communication.

With admiration and warm regards,

Nataša Pavlović Bujas

IPRA President 2024–2025
