IPRA chooses 2009 Golden World Award winners for excellence in public relations

The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) has chosen the winners of its 2009 Golden World Awards for Excellence in PR. The winners ranged from a campaign designed to increase Australian tourism in New Caledonia to the launch of the Slavinsky Art Gallery in Russia.

The IPRA judges chose 30 category winners out of 126 finalists selected from 342 entries received from 42 countries.

The prestige associated with winning a Golden World Awards category is clearly demonstrated by the number of entries received this year despite the economic downturn. It is especially gratifying to see entries from countries where public relations is still a relatively new profession. Some particularly good entries were received from Japan, Romania & Ukraine.
