Welcome to a new IPRA Philippines Chair

(Comments)

IPRA is delighted to announce that the new National Chair of the IPRA Philippines Chapter is Noel Rene Nieva, president and CEO of Perceptions, one of the country’s leading public relations companies. Noel has been a long-standing member of IPRA and IPRA Philippines. Noel is also involved in the social programmes of Perceptions such as the Read to Lead reading advocacy programme in partnership with the Philippine Department of Education and the Biyahe Tayo! tourism campaign in partnership with the Philippine Department of Tourism.

As part of its ethos to integrate the global and the local, IPRA encourages the formation of geographic chapters. These may span a country or, more typically, a region. They are formed by the paid-up members of IPRA in that region and inspire local events and publications. The Philippines Chapter is one of our most active and has been since it started back in the early 1990s. Noted projects include the book How to Make It in PR and the ongoing weekly column PR Matters, in the local newspaper the Business Mirror.  These articles frequently appear on the Google Alerts service.

IPRA also expresses its gratitude to Malou Espina. She has led the IPRA Philippines Chapter with great style over the last two years and has helped it go from strength to strength.

Background to IPRA

IPRA, the International Public Relations Association, was established in 1955, and is the leading global network for PR professionals in their personal capacity. IPRA aims to advance trusted communication and the ethical practice of public relations. We do this through networking, our code of conduct and intellectual leadership of the profession. IPRA is the organiser of public relations' annual global competition, the Golden World Awards for Excellence (GWA). IPRA's services enable PR professionals to collaborate and be recognised. Members create content via our Thought Leadership essays, social media and our consultative status with the United Nations. GWA winners demonstrate PR excellence. IPRA welcomes all those who share our aims and who wish to be part of the IPRA worldwide fellowship. For more see www.ipra.org
