Speaking to the Russian media yesterday, IPRA President Bart de Vries announced the start of a co-operation between IPRA’s Golden World Awards scheme and Russia’s long running Eventiada Awards.

“This is the start of great co-operation between us: not only will Eventiada winners now be eligible to enter IPRA’s Golden World Awards for Excellence at a special price, but we have also created a GWA Award within the Eventiada competition,” says De Vries.

Under the agreement, Eventiada is appointed as a regional Partner of the GWA. “This is something I have been working on for some time and I am delighted to see it happen,” comments Elena Fadeeva, Chair of the Board of Trustees Eventiada and IPRA board member.

The 2017 IPRA GWA competition is open now for entries at www.ipra.org

Background to the Golden World Awards for Excellence.

The annual IPRA Golden World Awards (GWA) initiative, established in 1990, recognizes excellence in public relations practice worldwide in a variety of categories. Recipients of the award take particular pride in the recognition granted to their entry as meeting international standards of excellence in public relations. An overall IPRA Grand Prix for Excellence is presented each year to the entry judged as representing the highest standards that year. While there are many national and regional PR awards, there is only one truly global scheme: the GWA.
