For Summer 2017, a record 1.5 million Dutch holiday seekers were expected to visit a destination outside the European Union.  To avoid people attempting to pass restricted and non-compliant purchases through Dutch customs, HvdM and advertising agency KesselsKramer unrolled the World Travelers Campaign for the Dutch Customs Administration. The main goal was to increase awareness and stimulate the use of the ‘Customs Travel App’. The campaign helped the download of 120.000+ of the app. PR resulted in a significant increase of publics’ appreciation of customs officers as well as company pride among customs officials and Amsterdam Schiphol airport colleagues.
