A total of 4,855 trillion rupiahs (or 255 million GBP) has been declared in only nine months during Indonesia’s tax amnesty program. This makes the program one of the most successful tax amnesties in the world. To be succeeding, Tax Bureau under Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance (MoF) has prepared not only the regulation and its execution but also a comprehensive communication strategy. The MoF built strong messages based on target audiences and delivered them through integrated communication channels and influential endorsers – as prominent as President Joko Widodo. This approach has been performed under budget efficiency affecting all ministries.
