Amid the emerging refugee crisis, a radical women’s rights group organized a protest inside the largest McDonald’s restaurant in Hungary next to a Budapest railway station. They claimed to be advocating for breastfeeding, but also referred to the growing number of refugees near the station, and the restaurant. McDonald's needed to handle the issue, defuse the protest, and take the opportunity to demonstrate that McDonald’s is an inclusive, safe space for all.
