An acquisition which marked the local Retail Industry PDF

Amidst challenging times for the Greek economy, we were called to handle the communication of the most important corporate bailout ever completed in Greece. Marinopoulos Group, the 2nd largest supermarket chain in the country went bankrupt and Sklavenitis Group agreed to acquire the business.  This was a bailout deal that could secure thousands of jobs and obligations towards banks and business partners exceeding €1billion, but several pressure groups lobbied against it.  Our role in this intense crisis situation was to lead the media agenda, safeguarding the positive outcome of the deal and the reputation of the 2 retailers.
