You are invited to the awards ceremony and Gala dinner for the IPRA Golden World Awards for Excellence in PR 2026 in Athens, Greece.




The IPRA Golden World Awards for Excellence awards ceremony and Gala dinner will take place at 19.15 on Friday 25 September 2026. The Gala will be hosted at the iconic Hotel Grande Bretagne. The Gala is open to all GWA winners past and present, IPRA members and friends.

Tickets for the uplifting event will be available online at £250 each or a table of 10 at £2250.



Once your booking is confirmed, you may download your ticket for reference; however, it will not be required upon arrival. Guests will be seated according to the pre-arranged table plan.

Athens International Airport

The Athens International Airport has good international connections all over the globe including Aegean, Emirates, British Airways, Brussels, Air France, KLM, Delta, United, Qatar, and Turkish. A taxi will be €40 daytime and €55 flat fare nighttime to the hotels. Or you can ask for a hotel pick-up. Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) connects the airport with Athens city centre. The Metro stop for the Hotel Grande Bretagne is Syntagma Station.

Greece is a member of the European Union and in the Schengen travel zone. Contact the IPRA Secretariat for a visa support letter.

The local currency is the Euro.

Weather

In September, Athens experiences warm weather with average temperatures around 24°C (75°F) during the day and cooler nights at about 19°C (66°F). The month is generally sunny with minimal rainfall, making it a great time for sightseeing and outdoor activities.



Dress Code

The Dress Code for the GWA Gala Dinner is smart formal or national dress. Please be glamorous but evening dress is not required!
