We have guests coming. Thousands, in fact. They're coming to Philadelphia for the Public Relations Society of America conference from Saturday through Tuesday. No doubt the focus will be on the future, but there's an echo from the past that we'd be savvy to salute too.

| 27 April 2007 EU lobbyists agree joint principles for codes of ethical conduct |

(Brussels) Siim Kallas, the Commissioner behind the European Transparency
Initiative (ETI), today (Friday) welcomed the receipt of a set of common principles
for a Code of Conduct for European affairs practitioners. The principles were
developed by leading public affairs and PR organisations, EPACA, IPRA and
SEAP* and delivered to the Commissioner by the presidents of these
organisations respectively Jose Lalloum, Philip Sheppard and Lyn Trytsman-
Gray.

| PR’s “Oscars” hit their 16th year : IPRA calls on practitioners worldwide to compete for excellence |

The call for entries for the 16th year of the biggest and most prestigious competition in the sphere of Public Relations the IPRA Golden World Awards for Excellence - was announced last week. All entries must be submitted by 2nd May 2007. Eligible to submit entries for the Golden World Awards are companies, associations, private institutions, NGOs and government bodies anywhere in the world. PR campaigns can be local, regional, national or international. |

| IPRA Sponsors Workshop at Annual UN Conference on Forging Effective Partnerships for Human Security |

LONDON, 5 September 2006. The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) will participate in the 59th Annual Department of Public Information (DPI)/Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Conference on Unfinished Business: Effective Partnerships for Human Security and Sustainable Development. The 2006 conference will be held at the UN Headquarters in New York City from 6-8 September, with more than 2,500 NGO representatives from 90 countries expected to attend. |

| Bali – Building Bridges to the World |

The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) conference in Bali, Indonesia received an outstanding response from the PR profession in nearby Asian countries as well as local PR practitioners, business executives and academics. Some 199 participants from 21 countries representing the five continents participated in IPRA’s first regional conference held in South East Asia. The conference ran from 4-6 September. |

| Awarding excellence to the best PR practitioners worldwide |

London, 6 November 2007 – On Tuesday, 6 November 2007, the prize ceremony for the IPRA Golden World Awards for Excellence took place in London. The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) chose its “Golden” winners for 2007 from a record number of entries – 403 from 46 countries. |
